
ABOUT
Piedmont Alliance for Triad Healthcare ( PATH ) is a network of educational institutions, employers and workforce development boards in our region working to develop strategies to promote information sharing, training and support in order to bridge and fill the pipeline of health care workers. It is a collaboration of all these entities to figure out what we need and how to start programs that will meet those needs while lending educational support to students wanting to learn about healthcare careers.
VISION
We would like to invite you to join a unique and exciting group of healthcare representatives in our region, Piedmont Alliance for Triad Healthcare ( PATH ) Recognized for innovation, PATH will drive the growth of the regional healthcare workforce, providing access to resources, networking and education in the Piedmont Triad.
MISSION
PATH is a distinguished network of healthcare employers, healthcare systems, education and training institutions, workforce boards and professionals
PATH’s mission is to build awareness, interest and participation in the development of healthcare careers through a unique association between employers, healthcare systems, education and training organizations and WDBs.
We will do this by:

Engaging our network of industries leaders to understand barriers to enter the healthcare field.

Community Outreach to associated entities within all counties across our Region

To bring community awareness to an emerging workforce, job seekers and industry regarding healthcare opportunities

Synthesize possible solutions to reduce/diminish employer identified workforce deficits.

• Network with educational institutions, other employers and workforce development boards.
• Address healthcare workforce issues within our region through a multidisciplinary approach.

WORKFORCE BOARD SUPPORT & SOLUTIONS
• Assist the development of strategies that attract, retain and expand careers in Allied Health.
• Build relationships and collaborations with healthcare providers and stakeholders, increasing the awareness of workforce boards’ role in building stronger businesses and communities.
• Promote North Carolina’s Workforce System, which provides information, training, technical support and other services to employers and job seekers.


EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
• Strengthen and/or develop relationships with clinical partners.
• Discover best practices.
• Build collaborations among workforce boards, community colleges and employers.
• Create/adapt healthcare training to address needs in the industry and community.
• Promote students and healthcare programs.
• Create awareness in the healthcare community about the types of degrees and certifications community college students can earn.
• Share with employers the preparation students receive for their respective healthcare careers.
• Connect to major area healthcare facilities and affiliates (such as AHECs) that provide networking opportunities, allowing community colleges to showcase their programs/students.
NETWORKING & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
•Gain a better understanding of employment needs and issues of Allied Health professionals.
• Become knowledgeable about concerns from employers and educational entities with regard to Allied Health professionals.
• Become aware of new programs provided by local community colleges and universities.
• Better understand how all the PATH board members (community colleges, employers, workforce boards, and others) work together to promote and secure a skilled and talented Allied Health workforce.
• Learn about the various programs the local workforce development boards provide.
• Connect to resources and referrals.
